Infor CRM 8.XXX Group Filter will not clear. How do I clear the filter?

Recently I had a customer with a specific user that had a filter stuck on one of their Account Groups.  When the user would go to the Group, it would show that it had 1 owner active for a filter.  When the user tried to clear the filters, the system would do nothing.  First we tried to clear the users settings and this did not work.

Finally, we found a work around.

  1. Login to Application Architect as ‘Admin’
  2. Open the Virtual File System Explorer
  3. Expand Virtual File System Explorer → Configuration → Application User → SLXClient
  4. Expand the user node, i.e. Lee
  5. Expand the Filters node
  6. Expand the node for the effected group, i.e. Test
  7. RMB on the ‘GroupFilters’ file and select ‘Delete Selected’
  8. Once the file has been deleted login to the ICRM Web Client and navigate to the Group i.e.

Once that was done, the user was able to access the group without any filters set.
