• Date Formats and the SalesLogix Provider

  If you're in the loop, you've found that the SalesLogix Provider expects all dates to be in ISO format (Note: to clarify, it was originally expected in ANSI format, but with v6.1 the standard was changed to ISO to account for Oracle). I say “in the loop” because unless you're paying close attention and possibly active in the SalesLogix BP newsgroups, then you likely never heard of this. • Determine if user is member of team or department

  Determining if a user is a member of a team or department in SalesLogix is a useful thing. You often want to only allow members of a particular team to access some function or maybe have a screen appear differently depending on which department the user is in. • 3rd Party grid control in SalesLogix

  I started using 3rd party grid control with SLX. It looks just like the SLX grid control - but it works! Many Business Partners have expressed (quite loudly) their displeasure (disgust?) with the existing SalesLogix grid control. Functionality that is just missing or just plain doesn't work or falls short. I moved to this control and have been very pleased. • Patrick David (Sullivan) is back

  Just caught wind that Patrick Sullivan (aka Patrick David), former SalesLogix Product Manager is back in the SalesLogix game. Looks like he's joined the team at Scottsdale based CSI (no, not the show). Great to have him back in our circles. Patrick was great to have around. • Finally, long awaited Form methods.

  Todd Hardin posted a reminder in the SalesLogix BP news groups of some long awaited new Form methods with ActiveForms introduced in v6.1. I got so used to doing things the old way I forgot all about them. They will definatly save some time, and make code easier to read. Thanks Todd.
