Thanks again for the post - it came in handy today as the web client was stubbornly refusing to show the new field in the group builder. I ran an update to set the datacode to REBUILD_SCHEMA and this caused it to refresh and show the field.

The fact is that this will always be a problem the way it works now in the web client. Sage needs to make this a background process so it just happens when needed. It could even just be triggered the same as it is now, just spawn it on a background thread. However, this post (as mentioned at the end) is more about an exercise in troubleshooting than this particular problem).

Well, if you had searched the slxdeveloper forums you would've saved yourself some time...

I didn't do my troubleshooting via Fiddler, but did notice the server errors right away and that there was a timing out issue, and quickly discovered the same situation.

Having dealt many times with the schema XML manually (to further filter the tables and fields visible on the Group builder), I had experienced this issue even back on the 6.2 client...

Thanks for mentioning that Kris. That is correct. Any time a schema change is made (adding a new table, etc) this flag is set and you'll have the same problem again.

Great post Ryan. To expand on this issue, be aware that this flag will be set when changing your database schema, so if you are adding fields or tables to the database you will likely run into this problem.
