While still in the early adopter stage, my gut tells me the microblogging service is on the verge of explosive growth this year. While it is dwarfed by sites like Facebook, Myspace, Linkedin and others with 2.7 million visitors in December according to Nielsen, that represents an eight-fold increase from a year earlier.
At Customer FX we are very active on Twitter, and I personally spend too much of my free time on the site. It seems that each day more and more large corporations are dipping their toes into the Twitterverse. Some do a good job, some are pretty lame. But the activity levels are going through the roof.
