          Customer FX 3.0

Dave Tinjum on Customer FX 3.0 - Customer FX 1.0 was actually Business FX, born in the fall of 1993. In 2000 we started using the DBA Customer FX to reflect the change in our industry from Sales Automation to Customer Relationship Management, and 2.0 arrived. This blog will share the birth and evolution of Customer FX 3.0 and maybe even be an interesting read from time to time.

Fascinating Facebook Facts

Came across and article yesterday from Jessi Hempel at BusinessWeek titled:

"How Facebook is taking over our lives
President Obama used it to get elected. Dell will recruit new hires with it. Microsoft's new operating system borrows from it. No question, Facebook has friends in high places. Can CEO Mark Zuckerberg make those connections pay off?"

Some up to date stats from the article:

 - Members: 175 million
 - Estimated 2008 revenues just $280 million
 - Average user spends 169 minutes per month on Facebook, Google 13 minutes
 - More than 70% of Facebook users are outside the U.S
 - Fastest growing demographic on the site: Women 55 and older, up 175% since September 2008

Anything jump out at you?  For me the startling fact is the the average user spends over 3 hours per month on the site.  The other is the astounding growth on the female over 55 group in less than 6 months.  Our company has been more focused on other Social Media sites, but personally, my Facebook usage has been growing as of late.  Is your company using Facebook?

About David Tinjum

Dave is Founder and President of Customer FX Corporation. We all feel sorry for Dave - he's a wanna be geek who can't write a single line of code. How pathetic! Lucky for him, he's surrounded by a whole team of Alpha Geeks. Dave have been an industry insider since 1987 and is called the "Godfather of CRM" by some of his long time peers. He served as Chair of the GoldMine Channel Partner Council from 1993-2000 and Chair of the SalesLogix Business Partner Advisory Council from 1998-2004. Oh, and one more thing - Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers!!!

Much better than Linkedin, but to be fair, they have different purposes.
