Been doing similar for some years in slx 62. Hit an issue when you get 72 and beyond. Whilst the above still work fine for a report called from a button, the script does not run for reports called from the normal reports menu system within LAN. Which is a major pain. Just doing an upgrade at present and a lot of the reports have code which would run on OnOpen

You can also do the same without the subquery with a join from picklist to picklist (not that it would make a difference performance-wise for something as small as a result of picklist items)

select p1.id, p1.text, p1.shorttext from picklist p1

left outer join picklist p2 on (p1.picklistid = p2.itemid)

where p2.picklistid = 'PICKLISTLIST' and p2.text = 'Contact Types'

I don't think you will be able to set the Grid to Rowselect = True and have the Hyperlink work. You'll have to leave the Rowselect false, and set the Readonly property of each column that you add to False to prevent editing of individual cells.

Add this line to each column as you define them...

col.Readonly = "False"

I Have one problem with Hyperlink in Datagrid Column.

as you said I added Hyperlink Column into Grid.

But when I set Rowselect property of the grid true.This hyperlink column does not work.

and I looked into the Slxdeveloper Forum also.

but No luck.....

Rakesh,

The column type for Hyperlinks is 11, so you could add a hyperlink column to the columns collection with this code.

Set col = dgOpportunities.Columns.Add(11)

col.FieldName = "FIELDNAME"

col.Caption = "Whatever"

I haven't tried it out personally to see if there is any other properties you would need to set, but you might want to through this code in to see if it works as is. Once I have a minute, I'll check it out as well, and probably post an article on other datatypes that can be set in a grid using code.

Good point, RJ. I was thinking that appending the fields to the recordset was nessisary to apply column formatting, but of course, that's what running through the columns collection accomplishes. Thanks for the correction.
