Question: Our SalesLogix v7.5.1 Web client has almost no customizations and our hardware is up-to-date, but we are still having performance issues. Is there anyway that I can improve performance?
Answer: There are a couple areas to look at, but first, make sure that you always deploy the site precompiled. Also, not having customizations doesn't mean that you are running an optimal system. Here are some things to look at:
The SQL Database - Run the SQL Profiler and look at the execution times. If there are too many statements that take a long time to execute you may need additional indexes, or update existing ones.
IIS Settings: Do you have shared servers or is one just for SalesLogix? Do you run VM Images? Do you use Compressions and Caching?
Browser settings and rendering performance on client machines. Rendering and Java Script execution can make a site appear slow on a lower-end PC.
