Restricting Access to SalesLogix NavBar

Question: : I am trying to restrict access to the side navbar in SalesLogix by different departments, such as marketing only seeing the Marketing navbar, sales only seeing the Sales navbar, etc., but I don't know where to start.  Any suggestions?

Answer:  You'll want to create a module and and plug it into your portal.  Take a look at this article written by Ryan Farley: http://customerfx.com/pages/crmdeveloper/2009/07/15/creating-modules-for-saleslogix-web-and-hiding-toolbar-items-at-runtime.aspx

The article is for toolbars, but you should be able to get it to work for the navbar by working with the NavBarWorkspace.
