Because SalesLogix acts as the master Account and Contact source, containing both prospects as well as customers that also exist in MAS 500, an integration was developed to update MAS 500 when SalesLogix customer information changes.

A custom SQL Server DTS package was created utilizing standard DTS Data Driven Queries to update the various customer attributes in the back office when they are updated in SalesLogix.  This package runs on a nightly basis to ensure that both system’s customer bases are in sync.  All records modified that day are checked for differences and only those in need of updating are touched in MAS 500.

The following information is checked and updated on a nightly basis. 
•    Customer Name (SalesLogix Account)
•    Salesperson (SalesLogix Account Manager)
•    Address 1, 2, 3, and 4, as well as city, state, zip, country, and the residential flag
•    Contact Name
•    Contact Email
•    Contact phone (SalesLogix Contact’s work phone)
•    Contact phone extension (SalesLogix Contact’s work phone extension, if one exists)
•    Contact fax (Contact’s fax)
•    Contact fax extension (SalesLogix Contact’s fax extension, if one exists)
•    Customer the Contact belongs to (SalesLogix Contact’s Account.  Contacts can move between accounts in SalesLogix)
