Bypassing Windows Authentication

If you use multiple databases with SalesLogix (ie: for your own company and also several customer databases for development) and you also use SalesLogix Windows Authentication for your corporate database, you can bypass the Windows Authentication when desired using the /BYPASSNTLOGIN command-line switch.

So if you’re a developer for SalesLogix, and use Windows Authentication on one of your databases, you can bypass logging in automatically because of your current Windows credentials (and needing to do a File|Open to get into some other database) by placing another shortcut on your desktop using the /BYPASSNTLOGIN switch to be presented with the standard login dialog.
