Can I limit Access to MainView Tabs in the SalesLogix Web Client?

Question: In each MainView, like Account, Contact, Opportunitiy or Tickets there are many different tabs.  I am wondering if I can limit access to these tabs in SalesLogix?

Answer: One way to limit access to tabs is by using Roles. You can give access to specific tabs by Roles. If you log into SalesLogix Web as Administrator you can access the Admin Menu and then create roles. You can also assign users to those Roles.

In the Application Architect, you can access each Tab (form) properties and give access to the form “by role”. You would go into the Portal Manager/SalesLogix/Pages…..find the specific page you would like to limit access and double click on it.  The roles access is on the left side of the page.
