In last month’s Developer focused workshop we took a look at the SData
API and used it to create a simple console application to return Contact
information. This month we are going to build on what we learned and begin to build a simple Windows application using .NET, which can be used to look up SalesLogix Accounts and related information. We will demonstrate various types of queries and will show how nested payloads can be used to return entity information related to other entities. While a basic understanding of C# will be helpful, it is not required. In this workshop we will review:
- The SData core specifications for SData version 1.1.
- Using the SalesLogix SData API and .NET to build a Windows application based on SalesLogix data.
- Writing different queries using the SData API.
- Using nested payloads to include related entities.
