Question: Why are files still being dropped on local machine when attempting to deploy the Web Portal from a remote server in SalesLogix? I have specified the server and port on the deployment tab within Application Architect, but this still happens.
Answer: What you will need to do is to share out the folder on the remote web server where you want to deploy the project. Then, in your deployment target, reference the remote server name in the “Server” field (rather than “localhost”) and the shared folder in the “Base Directory” field – e.g. \yourremoteserversharedfolder rather than C:Inetpubwwwroot.
