I got this information off of the Microsoft Office web site today and I think it’s pretty cool since it means you don’t have to live without SalesLogix email integration just because your company uses Lotus Notes for email…
Do you use Lotus Notes? With Microsoft Office Outlook Connector for IBM Lotus Domino and Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2002, you can access your Domino mailbox directly from Outlook. Outlook Connector for Domino is an Outlook add-in that allows you to access your Domino mailbox on any IBM Lotus Domino R5 or R6 server.
Combined with Outlook, Outlook Connector for Domino provides access to Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange Server accounts from the same messaging client. The ability to access both Domino and Exchange mailboxes from the same e-mail client — using separate Outlook user profiles (Outlook e-mail profile: A profile is what Outlook uses to remember the e-mail accounts and the settings that tell Outlook where your e-mail is stored.) — is important in mixed environments in which businesses must rely on both Domino servers and Exchange servers for messaging and workgroup collaboration.
Outlook Connector for Domino can be installed on any computer that has Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2002 installed on it. If you want to use Outlook Connector for Domino, contact your Exchange Server administrator or corporate information technology (IT) department. Although it is available as a free download from Downloads on Office Online, Outlook Connector for Domino is typically deployed by your corporate IT staff.
