*Updated: August 31, 2026
If your organization uses Infor CRM Sync for Exchange with Exchange Online (Microsoft 365), your Exchange administrator must update your tenant settings. Infor advised affected customers to complete this configuration by August 31, 2026. If your organization has not yet made the change, contact your Exchange administrator and take action immediately to reduce the risk of Sync for Exchange disruption beginning in October.
Without this change, Sync for Exchange may stop moving data between Infor CRM and Exchange when Microsoft begins disabling Exchange Web Services (EWS) on October 1.
Who Is Affected?
This requirement applies only to organizations using Infor CRM Sync for Exchange connected to Exchange Online.
It does not apply to:
- Infor CRM Xbar users
- Organizations using an on-premises Exchange Server
- Organizations that have already completed the required update
What Should You Do Now?
Your Exchange administrator must:
- Add Infor’s EWS OAuth application/client ID to the tenant’s
EwsAllowedAppIDslist. - Set the organization-level
EwsEnabledvalue to$true. - Include any other EWS applications your organization still needs.
Follow the instructions provided in Infor KB article 3699421.
This Is a Temporary Exception
Completing these steps will maintain access only through March 31, 2027. Microsoft plans to fully disable EWS in Exchange Online in April 2027, and Infor expects to release an updated version of Sync for Exchange before then.
