Infor CRM Web Client Merging Account Error

If you are trying to merge accounts in the Infor CRM web client and you receive a popup stating:

“You do not have the required security access for the selected records”

This is caused by the web client validating the current user’s field level security against the security profile assigned to the user on the teams that own the accounts. In the event that one of the field level security returns less than the full “Read/Write” (i.e. “Read only” or “No Access”) then the above listed error will appear.

The way around this would be to change the field level security that the user has to ensure all the field level security are read/write or to change which profile the user has on the team that owns the account to be a profile that does have full field level security access.

This error does actually make sense, as the user would be unable to properly write all of the account data during the merge if they do not have access to the fields based on field level security.
