If you are starting with just the basic installation of Creatio (as seen here), you have the ability to set up all sorts of processes, but no actual ready-to-go functions on a freshly-installed basic system. For those who are planning on designing their own business processes completely from scratch, this is the perfect starting point. If, on the other hand, you are planning on taking advantage of the wide range of functionality that has already been created for Creatio, you will want to download one or more applications from the Creatio Marketplace.
When installing an application, I prefer to download the file, then have Creatio install the app from that file. You can choose to install the app directly, but I sometimes get errors this way, and I like to stick with what I know will work. To download an app file, log in to Creatio.com, and go to Marketplace. There are all sorts of apps here, free and paid, made both by Creatio and third parties. Once you have found the application you wish to install, go to its page and click the Install button. On the next screen, click the Packages tab, and click Download to download the app’s install file. Save the file someplace so that you can easily browse to it in the next step.

To actually install the application, log into your Creatio and click on the Settings cogwheel, then scroll down to the Application management section and click Application Hub. Click New application, then scroll down to the bottom of the list and click Install From File and then Select. On the next screen, click Select File, then browse to the application’s install file you have previously downloaded. Once you select the file and click Open, the application will install. After it has completed, you can return to the Application Hub, or just close that tab.
