Creatio (formerly bpm’online) Quick Tips: Working with Leads

Leads in bpm’online are a record attached to an Account or Contact (or both) for communicating with and qualifying someone for something they may be interested in.  As you work the lead, you can collect information over time and then create an opportunity if it really is a quality lead.  This allows you to have many Leads over time for the same Contact/Account wherein Infor CRM, once you convert a qualified lead, it is never a Lead again so you have to either create a duplicate lead record or create pre-qualified Opportunity records.  Bpm’online works the way real people and businesses work rather than other CRM systems that force you to alter your business processes to work within its limitations.
