The current version of Xbar handles all aspects of integration with Outlook, except for merge templates. Older Outlook integration products handled things differently.
If you are using Infor CRM 8.4.x, Xbar 1.4.0 is likely the best version to use. If you are using Infor CRM 8.3.x, Xbar 1.3.9 is the best version to use.
You can use command-line arguments to choose which Xbar features are installed.
It is possible to install Infor CRM Xbar from the command line.
Versions of Xbar that work with Infor CRM 8.3 or 8.4 are compatible with locally installed versions of Outlook 2010, 2013, and 2016 (with some exceptions).

If you are using a current or recent past version of Infor CRM (Saleslogix), the way to transfer data between CRM and Outlook is the Xbar application.
If the install file is not in the correct path, the button to install Xbar will not work.
A new version of Xbar – v1.3.7 – can now be downloaded from the Infor Xtreme portal. With this latest version, field level security rules are now enforced.
After installing Xbar 1.3, Outlook 2010 did not have the Record to History icons in the toolbar ribbon. In Outlook, go to File, Options, Add-Ins and you will see Infor CRM Outlook Connecter listed in the Disabled Add-Ins.
Infor CRM Xbar for Outlook 1.3 has been updated to 1.3.1 which adds backwards compatibility for Infor CRM version 220.127.116.11, 18.104.22.168 and 8.3 or later. Ensure your version of Microsoft Outlook is the desktop version of 2010, 2013, 2016, or Office 365. You can download the software on the Infor Xtreme Portal right now.
After installing Xbar 1.1 on a Windows 2008 R2 server the Xbar application was not available in Outlook 2010. It was present in the Outlook Add-ins
