If you are looking to sync contacts and appointments between Infor CRM (Saleslogix) and Outlook, the most popular way to do this is with Xbar, an Outlook add-in you can download from Infor. Xbar is compatible with most, but not all, versions of Outlook commonly in use today. According to Infor’s compatibility matrix, versions of Xbar that work with Infor CRM 8.3 or 8.4 are compatible with all locally installed versions of Outlook 2010, 2013, and 2016.
There are exceptions and unsupported versions, however. Outlook from MS Office Home and Business edition is not supported. I have no knowledge of how this version is different from other versions of Office, but I can vouch it does have sync issues if you try to use it anyway. If you are using Office 365 (the subscription version of Office), Xbar will work with the locally installed copy of Outlook, but not the web version. (This means you cannot use Xbar with versions like Office 365 Business Essentials, which only includes the web version.)
We are, at this time, unable to verify if Xbar works with Outlook 2019. The most recent version of Xbar (1.3.8, as of this writing) was released before Office 2019, so it was not specifically tested with this version. Infor does not generally test older products for compatibility products released later, so I would not expect this to ever be officially tested. I have not yet heard anything either way from users who have this edition, but I have also not heard anything to indicate Outlook 2019 is so different as to make backwards compatibility an issue.
Having run into this issue myself Infor specifically state Office 2010 is no longer supported with versions of Infor CRM 8.3.9x+ and/or Xbar 1.37+
