In our last workshop, we took a brief look at some of the updated
functionality found with the current version of SalesLogix (v8). In this
session, we’re going to take a more in depth look at two specific
changes to the development environment.
- Including Client side scripts in smartparts:
It
is now possible to augment a page with custom JavaScripts while keeping
them isolated from the page. We’ll take a look at using the Client
Script Include property.

Extending control and form properties:
An
extended Properties property was added to forms and controls, allowing
you to define keys you can pass to the smart part code generating
process. This will allow you to extend quick form control and form
behavior beyond the properties provided in the base product.
