Infor CRM – Plot your Account or Contact records on a map

I’m frequently asked if there is a way to plot multiple Infor CRM (Saleslogix) Account or Contact records on a graphical map and the answer is “yes” and it’s free.  Here is the simple 3 step process:

  1. Create the group of the records you want to display on the map using the standard Infor CRM Query Builder.  Be sure to include all of the address columns in the groups layout such as Address1, City, State and PostalCode.  Any additional data fields that you want to display can also be included in the layout such as Account, Phone, web…
  2. Click “Export to File” in the Quick Actions panel from the list view of your new group and select .csv as the file type. This will open the new file in Excel.  Now, using your mouse, drag to select all of the Excel records and include the column headers and then right click and select copy.  This puts all of the columns and rows on your clipboard.
  3. Using your browser, navigate to BatchGeo and paste the addresses into the white window on the top of the BatchGeo home screen.  Now click the Validate & Set Options button and using the field matching screen set everything as needed. Finally, click the green Make Map button on the bottom of the screen and BatchGeo will present your new interactive map which you can save and print.
