
Well, it never ceases to amaze me that there are always new things to learn about SalesLogix.
This week I had a customer that customized their Account Detail View. We were able to access the new fields and enter data, when we were logged in as Admin. However, when you are logged in as a regular user, the fields were locked down and the users were unable to enter information.
In order to fix this, you need to Log into SalesLogix Administator program as Admin, go to the Manage/Field Security Profiles…..then just click on OK. This forces SalesLogix to rebuild the Field Security Profiles, allowing access to the new customizations.
The users then need to log out of SalesLogix and log back in again. The users now can access and enter information into the fields with no problem.
