Testing SalesLogix Imports

Working with Clients this week I have come across several instances of incomplete imports.


When you imports either Contacts or Leads into SalesLogix make sure that the information is imported correctly.


If possible you should first import into a test database. This way you can check your data mappings prior to the live import.


When checking your data, make sure you check each piece of data and not just the name and address. Make sure that each piece of data that you are importing is being imported into the correct field…in the correct format.


Too often do I see partially imported data that needs to be removed and re-imported. Take the time the FIRST TIME to check you data. This can save alot of time in the long run.
