In an installation of Infor CRM SLX, there are many folders that the system will often write to during normal operation. If one or more of these folders are actively monitored by anti-virus software, it can cause performance issues when each of the frequent file edits is scanned by the AV software. Below I have listed all the folders Infor recommends be excluded from active monitoring by AV software. It is far from certain that monitoring any of the folder will cause issues, but it is definitely worth testing excluding these folders from active AV scanning whenever troubleshooting performance issues.
In the listings below, I have assumed default install pathways, etc. If any of these are non-standard, you will need to adjust for the actually pathways used. Also note the the Program Data and AppData folders are hidden by default, and you will likely need to enable Windows to display hidden files and folders to be able to access those. Any folders listed for exclusion include all subfolders as well.
We will start with the AV exclusions for the servers in an Infor CRM SLX environment. On any server that has Infor CRM SLX components installed, you should exclude the c:\Programs Files(x86)\Saleslogix folder . Also exclude c:\Program Data\Sage and c:\Program Data\Saleslogix folders. On the web server, exclude c:\inetpub\wwwroot . On the deployment server (whichever server is used to deploy from Application Architect, usually the web server), exclude c:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Sage , where <username> is the user that logs on to Windows to deploy with Application Architect.
On any workstation that has Outlook integration with Infor CRM SLX installed, exclude c:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Saleslogix and c:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Saleslogix ; where <username> is the Window’s login of the user running Infor CRM Saleslogix on that computer. On workstations with the LAN client, exclude c:\Program Files(x86)\Saleslogix .
