Changing Titles in the Ticket List View of SalesLogix

Question: We would like to remove ‘Work Phone’ and make changes to the titles of Area, Category, and Issue within the Ticket list view in SalesLogix.  How can I do this?

Answer: There are a couple ways you can do this –

To make changes for Everyone, log into SalesLogix as the Admin.  Click the Ticket button and go to the list view.  You will find 2 options within the top right of the list view, the first is to switch to a different Group. The second is View the Group options – click on this button to see a list of options.  Next click on Edit, this will open the Query Builder.  Select the Layout tab.  The Layout tab has a top view with options from the Query Builder that you can add to the list view.  The bottom view has the list view of each column.  Click within the WorkPhone column and then right-click.  This will show more options, select edit.  Now you can change the name WorkPhone in the caption to another name.  The same will apply for Area, Category, and Issue.  Clicking on the Properties tab lets you change the tab name.

If there are some people that would not like to see the changes, click on the button that you used to open the Query Build and select Share Group. Doing this will bring up a window that allows you to choose who you would like to share your change with.  Make sure you ctrl & f5 for a screen refresh so that the appropriate people, or Everyone, see the changes.
