Have you run into problems installing SalesLogix Mobile for the BlackBerry? Here are some tips to help troubleshoot your installation.

  1. When creating the SalesLogix Mobile database in a SQL Server environment use the  sa account instead of the sysdba account.   Granting the Sysdba account the create database privilege did not make any difference on one installation.
  2. The version of SQL server on your SalesLogix Mobile server must match the SQL database server.  Different versions of sql server will not allow you to create the SalesLogix Mobile database.
  3. If
    your license has been used on an eval database you will need to have
    Sage support reactivate your license when used in a production
    environment.

  4. The BB Desktop Manager version must be certified for SalesLogix Mobile.  This may seem obvious but it is easy to overlook.
  5. Timeouts during a Blackberry sync may be the result of syncing a large database or too many months of history.  Adding more memory to the BB Device has really made a difference in one case.
  6. When
    performing a wireless sync and the sync results in “Starting” and does
    not progress from there check the Mobile ID and make sure it is unique.
