Salesforce Storage 500 Times More Expensive Than SalesLogix Cloud – SalesLogix vs. Salesforce

Salesforce storage devices must be constructed of Unobtainium and powered by Dilithium Crystals.  Sorry for the geeky references, but I don’t know how else to explain the outrageous cost.  They’re such a rip-off so outrageous I struggled coming up with a headline:

“$250 per GB LOL”

“$250 per GB OMG”

“Forget About ‘Nickel and Diming’ Salesforce Storage Cost Will ‘C-Note’ You to Death”

In the end I thought it best to just stick with the facts:

Purchasing additional storage (which you will, since storage is like your garage in that however big it is, you will fill it up) costs 500 times more with Salesforce compared to SalesLogix Cloud.

Salesforce = $250 per month, per GB LOL

SalesLogix Cloud = 50 cents (not a typo) per month, per GB

So many people have bought into the Salesforce hype and jumped on the bandwagon that they’ve been anointed the #1 choice by the industry shills.  It’s been years since anyone has seriously evaluated the offering beyond reading the endless press releases touting the latest “Cloud” (hint – will be the topic of an upcoming post) in their lineup.  As Dean Vernon Wormer of Animal House fame said “The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.”  With the imminent release of SalesLogix Cloud, the time is right for me to be that foot[:$].

Note: The info above based on vendor published pricing.  I have a feeling Salesforce may reconsider soon.

Call to Action:  If enough people “Like” this on Facebook (see the button right below) or retweet this on Twitter or reference this post on their own blogs, maybe we can hasten the pricing change to the benefit of Salesforce users everywhere.  Then again, a better option would be to contact us for a free trial of SalesLogix Cloud.  Either way, we’ve done our public service for the day.
