Adding a main view to the SalesLogix Customer Portal

 Adding a new main view for a custom entity in the SalesLogix Customer Portal is no different than doing so for an entity in the SalesLogix web client.  There are 2 things to be aware of though:

  1. Any groups you want to see in the Customer Portal must be both released to the SalesLogix user defined as the Customer Portal user and the PLUGIN.DATACODE must be set to  “CUSTOMERPORTAL”.
  2. The entity must have an ACCOUNTID in the underlying SQL table and that field must be set to the AccountId corresponding to the Contact who is logging in.  The Customer Portal basically appends a WHERE ACCOUNTID={The AccountId of the logged in Contact} to the group query.
