Question:

I get an  error, when I tried to open Forms with Datagrid Control inside it. This forms are parts of a Bundle i received

I was using a virtual machine which had previously upgraded the SLX from 6.2 to 7.2 and for some strange reason DLL files (controls) were not updated.

 

Answer:

This problem/issue happens on a non-repeatable random basis. Typically where the logged in Windows User does NOT have full Windows Admin rights on the system when the “upgrade” is performed.

 

General rule:

  Always “elevate” the Windows/SalesLogix user to full admin rights on the target PC

  Reboot

   Login as that SalesLogix/Windows user

   Upgrade

   Reboot

   Login again and test/make settings changes

   reboot…
