SalesLogix Intellisync on a 7.5 Remote Client

Here is an unusual error we encountered on a Remote Client attempting to synchronize his Outlook Calendar activities with his SalesLogix Calendar.   His sync cycle stated he was sync ing 5000 activities from Outlook to SalesLogix which was impossible since he had only 20 activities on his Outlook calendar.  At this point the sync cycle would error out with this message “Sage Sotfware Sync Application Runtime Error: Error encountered. Error Code- 0x80043ac9. Check documentation.”  After clicking Ok to the error the sync cycle would close. 

We uninstalled Microsoft Office and SaleLogix and reinstalled which didn’t have any affect.  We removed the .pst file from his system and that had not affect.  What finally corrected this issue was to remove this user from SalesLogix and recreate his profile.  We don’t know what the exact cause of the error was but I suspect there was something in the security blob that Intellisync misinterpreted.
