SalesLogix v7.5 WebViewer rights

I had a client ask me today whether or not a user could still save an
email to a record if they were a WebViewer only? They also wanted to
know if they would still have the “Send SLX” button in Outlook.

The answer is “yes”. In the user options or on the logon screen you can
choose the Active Mail Checkbox. This will allow the user to send and
save emails to the SalesLogix records even if they are WebViewer only
licensed. Webviewer are also able to create activities and history
records. However, they are not able to change the data in the detail
views or add new entity records.

  1. Wow, that is some good info Dale. I had no idea that WebViewer licensed users could still use that functionality.
