SalesLogix V8 = Performance and Polish

Over the last few weeks I’ve had the opportunity to perform many demos of the latest release of SalesLogix “V8” and the feedback I’ve received is overwhelmingly positive.  SalesLogix V8 is an evolutionary step in the product roadmap and includes hundreds of new features and improvements.  The “What’s New” document is over 120 pages long and includes enhancements in virtually every aspect of the product including the Web client, LAN client, Mobile client and Architect.

Much like the latest iPhone release, Sage took the “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” approach to V8, because of this the transition for your users and Administrators should be pretty seamless as the core design is intact.  What your users can expect is an immediate appreciation for the increased speed of the Web client as it responds and performs navigation changes.  As they use the software they will encounter many subtle but significant improvements to almost every area of the interface.  All of these changes add up to a better overall user experience and increased productivity.

Your Administrators will certainly be thrilled with the new codeless customization capabilities.  Simple interface changes are now truly simple.  Changes can be made to the screens, including adding and changing fields on the fly, right from within the Web interface.  Complex customizations are more easily accomplished with improvements to the Architect including the ability to perform a one-click try/test of your changes.

As you may have guessed, we are excited about the release of V8 and have already begun upgrading our customers to the new platform.  If you are interested in seeing a private demo of how V8 can benefit your business let us know and we will get you on the schedule.
