Administrators have wanted to update records via the Import wizard for a long time. Until recently, they often required extra cleanup and manual updates. Now, in Infor CRM SLX version 10.0, the enhanced Import Wizard makes bulk data management faster and more efficient by allowing administrators to update existing records during the import process.
Administrators can now:
- Update matching records automatically
- Set a default Account Manager during import
- Reduce manual data cleanup
- Maintain more accurate CRM records
The Import wizard is accessed in the Web Client on the Common tasks bar on the right side of the screen of the entity list view.
After you choose your file to import and map the fields in the wizard, you will come to the screen you see below. I have provided a snapshot of both the old screen and the new one.

As you can see above, there are no options for updating a record or defaulting an Account Manager.

On the Infor CRM SLX v10 Import screen you can see an option for updating matching records and an option for setting a default Account Manager.
When “Update matching records” is selected:
- Records that do not match existing records are imported as new records
- Records that do match based on selected matching criteria are automatically updated
- Duplicate data entry and manual record edits are significantly reduced
When the option is not selected:
- Non-matching records are still imported as new records
- Existing records remain unchanged
- Administrators must manually update records later if changes are needed
This enhancement gives teams greater control over data accuracy while saving valuable administrative time.
