‘Website Declined to Show This Webpage’ Error in SalesLogix Web

Question: I successfully deployed the SalesLogix Web core portal in the Application Architect, but when I attempt to browse to the site I receive this error:

The website declined to show this webpage
HTTP 403
Most likely causes:
This website requires you to log in.
———————–

I changed the webDLL user rights to the appropriate access rights (full control) but I still receive the error.  Any suggestions about why this may be happening?

Answer: Here are some things to check –

Did you setup the site for only Anonymous authentication?  It is recommended that you set it up like unless you are using a Windows login.  Also, have you reviewed the Application pool settings and the security settings for the site?
