Why am I Receiving a .NET Crash in the Event Log When Logging in to the SalesLogix v7.5 Portal?

Question: In SalesLogix v7.5 I created an Entity that had a 1:M relationship from Account and then I created the 1:M relationship (for example, “cPSOneToMany”).  After doing this I could build and deploy the portal. When logging into the portal, I receive a .Net crash in the event log, and my screen immediately displays an error that states “Unable to locate … _CPSOneToMany”.  Why is this happening?

Answer: Look to see if the the first letter in the name of your relationship is lower case. The build and deploy process will convert the relationship name to uppercase in SalesLogix v7.5. When the portal tries to find the uppercase relationship, it will not exist if the first letter in the name of your relationship is lower case.
